Again, Christmas shopping on the Internet will be spending synonymous. And the share of e-commerce in total purchases should again grow in Europe, according to a study by Forrester.
According to this study, online sales (fixed and mobile) in the months of November and December on the Old Continent (17 countries audited) will generate EUR 35 billion, or 23% of total sales of the year.
With € 12.6 billion, or 25% of total sales in 2014, the UK accounted for the largest proportion of annual online sales during the period of the holiday season, followed by Germany ( € 7.6 billion, 21% of the total) and France (6.7 billion, 22%).
Moreover, in 2014, Forrester expects sales via laptops and tablets will account for 20% of online sales in Europe.
