At 13:12 an earthquake of magnitude 4.7 to 48,5km depth occurred in the Ionian Sea, off the coast of Calabria and Sicily, and was felt in many parts of the two more southern regions of Italy, albeit in so slight, from Catanzaro in Gela. Stronger was felt in the Ionian Reggio, near Messina, in Catania and Syracuse, the areas closest to the epicenter. At the moment there are no reported damage.
