THX, the specialist in image and sound systems, has recently begun proceedings against Apple for patent infringement.
The company, founded by George Lucas in 1983, filed a complaint with a court in San Jose, California to defend a patent that covers different techniques to direct the sound from the speakers of small size, or get the sound through a narrow opening while got the best possible quality.
THX states in its complaint that the iPhone 4 and following, the iPad and the iMac all use this type of speaker and seeks damages and royalties, the amount is not specified. Apple has not officially reacted to this complaint. (Eureka Press)
